While the
primary objective of the network is to provide an information service to producers and
veterinarians, it also provides the information infrastructure to support clinical trials.
Data collected from many sources (eg. computerized herd records, production recording
services, abattoirs and the product quality labs) are combined into a single central
database to derive industry comparisons & trends for display or printing on
easy-to-read graphs.
